Apple has launched ResearchKit – an iPhone-based biomedical research platform that it claims will enable researchers design and administer app-based studies by recruiting users to collect and share their medical data for large-scale clinical studies. Patients with asthma, Parkinson's, breast cancer and other conditions can use iPhones to take part in medical research studies using their devices, Apple announced Monday. It's already been working with some big research institutions to design apps using BRAMPTON – Peel residents are invited to be part of Canadian health research history, when the Ontario Health Study (OHS) brings its study centre to the Brampton, March 10 to 14. The Brampton Study Centre, located in the Niagara Room of the Holiday Inn ResearchKit is a set of tools and services that one can use to assemble a clinical research study. "It does not become a research study until a protocol gets filed and approved by an institutional review board," said John Wilbanks of Sage Bionetworks. World-class research institutions have already developed apps with ResearchKit for studies on asthma, breast cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and Parkinson’s disease.* Users decide if they want to participate in a study and how their data is shared. However, no empirical research studies of the genetic counsellor role were found from any of the European countries. Therefore, one aim of this research was to investigate the proportion of patients allocated to each discipline and provide evidence of .
